Doesn't it feel like you always get a referral when you least want one? Like when you're sooo tired because you just saw a kajillion patients at your out patient clinic today and you weren't able to grab breakfast and it's already past one and you haven't eaten lunch yet... or you haven't slept one wink the entire night because just when you're about to enter rem, the phone rings and guess who they're looking for, and you're just sooo tired because you spent the night before cramming your research paper/proposal/report that you had to submit earlier today but then the deadline had been moved to tuesday but nobody told you... or, you know, you're stuck in the loo because you have lbm.
Sometimes don't you wish your phone had a callback feature that tells the person calling or texting that this just isn't a good time and could they call back in maybe five minutes? You're not avoiding them, you just want a few minutes of respite because you really deserve it. You didn't even shout at that person who has got to be the stupidest most annoying person in the entire hospital even when you really really reallly wanted to damn it.
So maybe you'll win the lotto. Yes 600 million bucks should do nicely for all your sacrifice. It's just fair, isn't it?
